(Subject to change without notice)

Ian Mason shoe being made Lasts: From the measurements given, models of the feet are made and these are called ‘lasts'. These are kept for you for any repeat orders you may wish to make. The uppers are stretched over the lasts during manufacture, thus forming the shoes to the shape of each foot.

Uppers: the uppers are made from box calf leather in your choice of colour and are fully leather lined and include storm tongues. An extra strong heel stiffener is fitted as standard.

Styles: Can be chosen on ordering with a selection of different upper styles, with padded ankles, lace fringes, and contrasting colours.

Insole: 4.5mm man-made woven shock-absorbing material, leather lined to match the uppers, and now incorporating 6mm plus of Poron/PPT protection in the heels.

Middle: A thin but very strong layer of leather cemented to the insole and uppers and then securely stitched. This method of construction, called ‘veldschoen', gives the shoe extra strength whilst retaining flexibility.

Midsole: A shock-absorbent through sole of top quality EVA in a choice of soft or hard grades, shaped to assist the walking action is cemented to the middle. Alternatively, normal leather soles and heels can be fitted.

Soles: Claytons tanflex leather soles with receptacles for steel or plastic spikes. This leather is very supple, water resistant, absorbs very little moisture, dries out quickly without cracking, and is exceedingly hard wearing.

Repairs: A full repair service is offered, which includes new midsoles, leather soles and spikes and any patching on the uppers, which may be necessary.
