Cricket Boot Specification(Subject to change without notice)
Uppers: the uppers are made from strong light supple leather, with nylon reinforcing in areas of stress, and a padded tongue. An extra strong heel stiffener is fitted as standard, but if you suffer from excessive pronation, then this can be doubled for additional support, together with the inclusion of arch supports.
Insole: 4.5mm man-made woven shock-absorbing material lined with suede leather and now incorporating 6mm plus of Poron/PPT protection in heels . Middle: A thin but very strong layer of leather cemented to the insole and uppers and then securely stitched. This method of construction, called ‘veldschoen', gives the boot extra strength whilst retaining flexibility. Midsole: A shock-absorbent through sole of top quality EVA in a choice of soft or hard grades, shaped to assist the running action is cemented to the middle.
Drag Plate: A stainless steel plate tailored to fit around the welt of the boot in the drag area, to avoid excessive wear, can be fitted if required. Repairs: A full repair service is offered, which includes new midsoles, leather soles and spikes and any patching on the uppers, which may be necessary. |
